The guiding principle behind this design is to integrate Nordrach’s square with the rest of the town while accentuating key buildings and historically significant sites, such as the church and cemetary. The visual center of the church and cemetary is opened up to the main street “Im Dorf”. The eponymous Nordrach stream regains its historical value and is showcased at the edge of the square with stepped seating that at the same time points to the beginning to the town’s core. All areas are have been designed to be barrier-free and fully accessible.
